Local Control Accountability Plan

Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan 2020

With the passage of SB98, California pressed pause on the development of the Local Control Accountability Plan for the academic year of 20/21.  In its place was set the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan.  The Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan will spell out what CNUSD, as a school system, is doing to support students and families during the pandemic.  The main themes covered by the plan are:

  • How the students are being supported in their learning, either in Remote/Traditional Learning  and Virtual Learning
  • How interventions are in place to remedy any student learning loss
  • How the concerns with mental health for students are being addressed and
  • The types of supports that can be provided for parents and families to help students in their academic progress.

Today, we are asking for you to engage in this 4-question survey that will provide input into this plan.  This input will be included and woven into the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan to support our students.  Thank you for engaging in the survey and for your ongoing support for the students in our schools.

cn logoThe Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) describes the implementation of projects and initiatives in Corona-Norco Unified School District that are funded through Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Supplemental funding.  This funding is provided by the state of California to support additional programs designed to be principally directed toward our English Learner students, Foster Youth and Socioeconomically Disadvantaged students.

The LCAP is revised on an annual basis using recommendations from students, the LCAP community survey, the District English Learner Advisory Committee, the District Advisory Committee and finally, the LCAP Advisory Committee.  The LCAP Advisory Committee is a group that is comprised of members of all parts of our educational community – teachers, parents, classified employees and administrators.  We take all recommendations from these groups to the CNUSD Cabinet, to the Superintendent and ultimately, to the Board of Education for consideration of incorporation into the LCAP.

The 2019-20 LCAP will be placed on the agenda for approval at the CNUSD Board of Education meeting on June 25, 2019.  Until then, we have posted the draft LCAP for community comments on this web page.  Please take a moment to look through the LCAP and provide us with any information that you would like to share.  All feedback is read and taken seriously in the revision process.  Thank you for your time and dedication to the students in CNUSD.  (español)
